What’s included in my child’s photo session?

Images + Retouching
Each camper will receive approximately 20 professionally edited images. All photos are lightly processed for color, lighting, and overall composition to ensure a clean, natural look. Advanced facial retouching (such as skin smoothing or blemish removal) is not included but can be added for $35 per image by contacting the photographer directly.

Full details about your child’s photoshoot will be provided in the prep guide before camp begins.

Photoshoot Session Details
Each camper will enjoy a 20–30 minute professional photoshoot. During the session, they’ll receive hands-on coaching on posing, facial expressions, and camera confidence to help them shine in front of the lens.
Why Does My Child Need a Professional Headshot?

Professional headshots are an essential tool for any child pursuing modeling or acting. A headshot serves as your child’s visual résumé — it’s what casting directors, talent agents, and clients see first when considering them for roles.
High-quality, professional photos help your child stand out, make a lasting impression, and increase their chances of being noticed and booked for jobs. While professional photography can be an upfront investment, it often leads to more auditions and opportunities in the long run.
At Alana Monteiro Modeling Camp, the cost of professional headshots is included in your camp registration, ensuring every camper leaves with a polished portfolio starter.

What Should My Child Wear on Photoshoot Day?

For headshots, simple and timeless outfits work best. Choose solid colors that flatter your child’s skin tone and eye color — think neutrals or rich jewel tones. Avoid busy patterns, logos, or bright neon shades that might distract from their face.
A clean, well-fitted top or a layered look (like a lightweight jacket or cardigan) adds a nice touch. Accessories should be minimal, and hairstyles should be neat yet natural. The goal is to capture your child’s authentic personality. A professional wardrobe stylist will also be on set to help guide outfit choices.

Should My Child Wear Makeup or Get Their Hair Done Before Camp?

No preparation is needed! Campers should arrive with their hair in its natural state and no makeup. Professional hair and makeup artists will be on site during photoshoot days to provide light touch-ups and create natural, camera-ready looks.

Additional Classes Included in the Camp

Acting
Modeling is more than just taking photos or walking the runway — it’s about expression and personality. Our acting classes help campers build confidence, develop on-camera presence, and bring their individuality to every performance. Taught by highly respected acting coaches and working professionals, these sessions give students the tools to shine both on set and in everyday life.

Dance & Movement
Movement is a key part of modeling. Our dance classes help campers gain confidence, improve posture, and learn how to move naturally and gracefully. Through fun and energetic sessions, students enhance their body awareness and stage presence — skills that translate directly to stronger runway walks and more dynamic photoshoots.
